Acceptance Starts With Self

Acceptance

Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt.

In our high-tech, modern world, we usually start out life in a delivery room, at a hospital. The person doing the delivery welcomes you with a swat on your rear end. “Welcome to this world, WACK!” That is not a very good welcome for a new being entering into society. The new baby’s first human instinct must be of not being accepted. If the infant is fortunate enough to have its birth mother present it should soon be held and start creating a strong bond with her. Those first feelings of acceptance must have a powerful influence, many never get a chance to feel it.

If the child’s first acceptance is from a nanny with a tender loving touch and caring heart that new life might still get off on the right foot. As we progress in life we’re constantly in search of acceptance, first from the immediate family, parents and siblings. We all need reassurance and acceptance from each other. The best way to feel that acceptance is through caring conversation, hugs, kisses and sharing a touch of love with each and every one of them.

As a young person starts school they are instantly confronted by many new people. In this new phase of life, acceptance is tested severely. Each person wants to be accepted by those in his classroom and in his school. This is a very important stage of life, starting an education on the right foot. As a person finishes his educational years and starts into the workplace, once more acceptance by his employer is a must for the success of his future add his contentment at his job.

As a person finishes his educational years and starts into the workplace, once more acceptance by his employer is a must for the success of his future and his contentment at his job.

Acceptance again comes to the supreme test when you find a person you wish to spend your life with, as a soulmate and companion. Your acceptance for each other is a must for a life of contentment, peace, understanding and fulfillment.

Acceptance in this world keys on one very important point, that of accepting ourselves. Examining how we interact with others and what we are made of and how we look at life’s trials and tribulations. We have to understand and love ourselves before we can accept and love others, it has to be a two-way arrangement. If we accept ourselves without trying to improve our individual condition to make us acceptable to others we usually have problems getting along in society.

Society is made up of rules and laws that must be accepted by individual citizens or it can not function and survive. If we accept the laws of the land and live our lives accordingly, there should be few problems with acceptance, of one for the other.

Worst Solar Storm Ever

<img class=”alignnone wp-image-1628″ src=”https://lghoelson.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/solar.jpg” alt=”solar.jpg” width=”518″ height=”518https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/life-after-blogs/

Life After Blogs
Your life without a computer: what does it look like? Very bad! If the worlds electronics all get fried due to a huge solar storm, it sure will create millions of new jobs developing something that will not get fried. One problem, how to manufacture things without power? We just went back to the late 1800’s. One solution, start everything over from scratch. That will create 0% unemployment over night.

Life after blogging is not going to be like anything we understand at the present time, it will be almost nonexistent, as far as blogging we take for granted today. There will be no international connections made. You will not be blogging instantly with people all over the world. This will come about possibly through a dramatic increase in the intensity and duration of solar flares and solar storms, disrupting our broadcast means. It might possibly be done through enemies taking others’ satellites out of commission to stop broadcasting. The world has progressed into the blogging as we know it today at a very rapid pace.
We could go backward in a very big hurry too.

What is to keep us from going back the other direction just as fast? International communications is the lifeblood for blogging as we know it, if that was made useless there would be no more blogging. Our blogging will be like getting the old daily or weekly newspaper. We could have small Internet sites broadcasting their signals the way cell phone towers were doing in the last decades, it will be a very slow process. It will be slightly better than sneaker networks, snail mail and dial up internet. We have never gone back wards in our history! YET?

Life after blogging is possibly a very serious thing being studied in the war rooms of every superpower in the world. The people who control the use of these worldwide broadcasting systems will be holding the Power ball. They will have the trump cards in all the games being played. It would appear that blogging has become a tool to shrink this world and make it ever closer together. The people from every location of the earth with a computer can feel like a neighbor with those anywhere else in the world. Why would they want to be enemies? There are evil powers working hard to keep worldwide peace from ever happening. If blogging was ever to be brought to an end they would no doubt be the ones doing the nasty work to make it happen.”

If this universe was all designed and set in order by a creator, there is a possibility that creator made a decision to let a solar storm happen for a reason. To save this world from itself. The world has been on a path of mutual self destruction for years. It would be like a time machine trip for the whole world, back to horse and buggy days.

Is The Internet Good Or Bad For Democracy

COMPUTER

The internet has shrunk the world with access to all information for all people at the same time. It should be very good for democracy by helping people in other countries learn about and move toward getting democratic freedoms. There are some people with positions in government around the world who would rather see the people not connected.

The ordinary person can now have access to everything and everyone here and around the world. Here I am right now writing this article. I click on publish and my thoughts go out for the world to see. I could write a letter to the editor before Internet access and maybe a few people would read it in a week or two. All the information in this world today is just a few clicks away for anybody to access. The kids in school today with Internet access, are very fortunate, The US education system was going backward, there is no reason why it shouldn’t reach new highs from now on.

The Internet can be good for democracy or bad and that will depend on how it is used. Television might of been the best thing since sliced bread if it hadn’t been taken over by the garbage business. Television was used for some good in the school systems for teaching and now the computer is also being used in similar ways. The important thing again will be who has control over how these teaching aids are used. If our next generation will not be able to learn anything unless it is through the use of a computer game, we might dummy down our society at a much faster pace.

The Internet will hurt democracy more than help if it is mostly garbage coming out. The people who choose a daily schedule of pornography or violent games will find it all on the Internet. Everything is there, for any age to access, how that will affect future generations all boils down to personal choices. Everyone has the choice on how they will use the Internet and that gives parents an awesome new responsibility. Parents have to guide their children in a whole new area of growth. Life’s walk is all about choices, which road do people take? The high road or the low road will determine how fulfilled your life is, the type of citizen you become. The wrong road has a lousy destination in life and some also believe after this life is over there can be a bad destination to spend eternity in.

Politicians have been awestruck by what has been happening with the use of the Internet by voters. Information that they favor is reaching the voters like they never imagined but their opponents sometimes fabricated information is getting out at warp speed too. Lies and slander about politicians go on line and is accepted as truth, they refuse to work together in Washington. No one is minding the store!

Millions and millions of dollars have been raised almost instantly to finance their campaigns. This is really great, a new campaign advertising and fund raising tool at their disposal. Internet fundraising will not be so good for democracy and the economy if it leaves the banks holding more bad credit card debt. Who knew those millions might have been raised with phony credit cards?

Terrorists use the live internet to increase the shock value of their bloody deeds, and recruit new followers. The internet helps terrorists plan attacks, it also helps in their capture. The internet is used to send in drones and vaporize groups of them.

The powerful world wide web depends on strategically placed satellites to operate correctly. The new wars will be cyber wars as enemies try to disrupt satellite signals or hackers penetrating computer systems with viruses, worms, new bugs are invented daily. There are four main types of computer bugs. http://turbinehq.com/2013/software-bug/

We must hold on to the hope that the Internet will be good for democracy. Everything that is happening in this world today is on display at some website. People who never listen to the news or read a newspaper have a new way to learn about current events. Let’s hope the events shown on the internet are close to accurate. Each individual’s unpredictable brain is the only sorting and collating tool available to handle what the eyeballs send to it. It would seem our only true hope would be that good will prevail for the sake of freedom and democracy.
