DAILY PROMPT
Green
Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt.
The daily prompt word today is Green. I will have to go with the Green of the Masters Golf Tournament this week. The Masters Golf Tournament is being played at Augusta National Golf Club at Augusta, Georgia. This without a doubt, has to be the most beautiful golf course in this world.
It has always been my dream to see this magical place during my lifetime. I have not been able to get to Augusta Georgia yet to see the home of the Masters Golf Tournament. TV coverage of the event today is outstanding. So the best thing do is watch television during the Masters golf week, if at no other time during the whole year. If you like golf, you will love the Masters golf tournament.
They have some of the best greens in the world. Some will be putting slow others will be putting as fast as a pool table. The players end up pulling their hair out over the putting conditions of these greens. The greens of Augusta will always test every golfers ability to use his putter. There are some water holes and hazards such as Ray’s Creek, every hole at Augustine National is a challenge.
The golfers all try to get there days early to play, to have time to get the feel of the course and the conditions. The problem with that is the conditions can change dramatically in just hours. The professional greens keepers know every trick in the book to make the golf course a supreme challenge to the best professionals on the tour. The galleries at Augusta National are unimaginable. Almost every fairway on the course has grandstands. Some of the finishing holes look like small stadiums for football some other sport.
Golf has to have the most dedicated spectators of any sport that has ever been invented. It is very rare to find anyone, in any gallery, on any golf hole who would do anything out of line to distract a player or his train of thought. Golfers demand quiet, thousands are there watching, yet noise is rarely a problem. The weather conditions can make it very miserable for the galleries at times. They will sit through anything to see their favorite professional players, as they parade past them doing what they love to do. The game of golf.
Jordan Spieth the defending champion is leading the field of 89 golfers on Saturday April 9, 2016, looking for his second coveted Green Masters Jacket and lots of cash.

“From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia”
“Augusta National Golf Club, located in Augusta, Georgia, is one of the most famous golf clubs in the world. Founded by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts on the site of the former Fruitland (later Fruitlands) Nursery, the course was designed by Jones and Alister MacKenzie[1] and opened for play in January 1933. Since 1934, it has played host to the annual Masters Tournament, one of the four major championships in professional golf, and the only major played each year at the same course.”
