2 c. sugar 2 c. flour
Place in mixing bowl:
Mix in saucepan;
1 stick margarine 4 Tbls cocoa
1/2 c. oil 1 c. water
Let the above mixture come to a rapid boil and pour into flour and sugar mixture.
Mix well, then add:
2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla (ADD chopped walnuts for an extra treat)
You can use 1/2 cup milk and 1 tablespoons lemon juice to make 1/2 cup buttermilk Mix well and pour into ungreased pan, ( cookie sheet type.)
Bake 20 minutes at 400°
1 c. sugar Dash salt
1/4 c. Milk 1 (1 oz ) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c. Butter
Combine sugar, butter, salt, and chocolate. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute.
cool in pan of cold water, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Quickly cover the pan of brownies, before frosting gets too thick.
