Quick Potato Cheese Soup
1 1/2 c. cubed potatoes 3/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbls. Butter 3/4 tsp garlic salt
3/4 c.water 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
2 c. milk
Cook potatoes, onions and butter and water until potatoes are tender. Add milk, seasonings and cheese. Heat until almost boiling and cheese is melted. Add salmon for a bonus treat.

Looks delicious, but I can’t have butter, cheese, milk or salt. Guess that just leaves me with garlic potatoes!

Unfortunately I’m not and that is why all the no-no’s.
As we start to get older the doctors have a way of taking a lot of fun out of our lives. Sorry to hear that you have to have no NO’S and don’t do’s like the rest of us. We still have to keep an eye on ourselves. The doctors cut me off salt, three years ago I ended up with a low sodium condition. I almost died, went into seizures and everything. I told them, I will use the salt shaker if my blood pressure starts to go up I will back off on the salt we seem to have come to a mutual agreement finally.
Yes. I just read that one of the meds means I shouldn’t have much potassium, which means no salt substitute.. even thought they say you should eat hight potassium foods if you have hypertension. I don’t know. I give up. Too complicated.
