Easy Scratch Recipes
Dark bread
4 c. lukewarm water                                   1/2 C. molasses

Put 2 pkgs. dry yeast in warm water      3 Tbls. lard

with 2 tsp. sugar sprinkled on top          3 Tbls. sugar

Mix in 1/2 graham and 1/2 white flour until dough is stiff.

Punch down and knead twice. After dough has risen the third time, put into loaf pans.

Let rise again. Bake at 350° for about 50 minutes
