Oatmeal Raisin Cake.
1 c. brown sugar 2 c. flour
1 c. shortening (part butter) 1 teaspoon vanilla
2 c. oatmeal 1 large egg.
1 tsp soda.
Cook raisins a few minutes, then thicken with 1 Tbls. Flour. Pat one half dough in bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Cover with raisins, then pat out last half of dough and put over the top of rasins. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done. (brown)

2 c. raisins 1 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
