Sweet and Sour Sauce

2/3 c. sugar                        1 Tbls. vinegar

2 Tbls. cornstarch             1 Tbls. vanilla

1 heaping Tbls. butter

Mix together and pour into 2 c. boiling water. Cook until thick. This is great over chocolate cake, especially if it didn’t raise right.
