Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt.

I don’t understand how they could have done this! I was from a large family, but it couldn’t have cost that much to feed us. They just abandoned me here in the city. What a shock! Now I have to fend for myself, there were seven others at home. I was very lucky to be the best mouser. Uh oh! They had a teenage daughter. She might be around here somewhere too. She was my best friend.
